Haley was born in Abington, PA, and she is seventeen years old.  Haley began studying the lever harp at the age of 6 after seeing a harpist performing in California and promptly fell in love with the instrument.  Haley currently studies pedal harp with Jan Jennings in Orlando, Fl. 

Haley resides in Merritt Island, Brevard County Florida and is a senior at Edgewood Jr/Sr High School of Choice where she continues to maintain a weighted 4.4 GPA.  Haley participates in the school orchestra and also attends Brevard Community College part time.  She has been a member of the varsity cross-country and track teams.  She is a National Merit Scholar Semi-finalist.

  • Park Stickney, New York Jazz Harpist (April 2005) 

  • Carol Swanson, Classically trained Harpist (August 2005)

  • Kathleen Bride, Professor of Harp, Eastman School of Music (August 2006)

  • Kimberly Houser, Professor of Harp, Louisiana State University (July, 2008)

She has also taken several workshops with Ms. Szmyt, Ms. Bennett Brady, Mr. Pool, Rudiger Oppermann, Kimberly Rowe, Park Stickney, Carl Swanson, Paul Hurst and with the world-renowned Jazz Harpist Deborah Henson Conant.  She was chosen as one of 8 local Orlando harpists to play live on stage with Deborah during her performance of "Wild Woman on the Harp" at the Bob Carr in Orlando on April 12, 2003.

   Haley is an active member of the American Harp Society and the local Central Florida chapter and has been a member of both 2001.  She regularly performs for their recitals and fundraising events to make people more aware of this beautiful instrument. 

 

In June, 2004, Haley attended the American Harp Society 36th National Congress held on the beautiful campus of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa.   Here she attended workshops with world-renowned harpists Elizabeth Hainen, Susann McDonald and Lori Andrews.

Haley has attended 2 weeks at the Young Artists Harp Seminar, an intense summer harp program in July of 2005, 2007 and 2008.

She has performed for several years as a guest harpist for Space Coast Pops.

Haley has been principal harp for the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra for 3 years. 

Haley is currently a member of The Brevard Theatrical Ensemble, Inc. Early Music Ensemble under the direction of 'Lady' Gail Ryan.

 Haley is committed to her community as well, performing and donating her time to the following organizations:
